When the sisters were younger, they loved hearing bedtime stories—a famous tradition at the Summer House. Each sister had her favorite book or tale she wished to hear over and over. To avoid wasting precious time arguing about which book to read that night, they agreed to take turns choosing in order, one per evening.

Despite their tender age, each of the sisters had already understood the art of persuasion and intrigue, applying those skills to influence the choice in their favor. But if you think that Naomi, the youngest, was always at a disadvantage when pressured by Vivian or Monica—you couldn’t be more wrong. She firmly stood her ground—on most occasions.

When the light finally switched off for the night, the girls were still not ready to give up on the day and implored Sasha to tell them one more story—a new story—one not found in the books. Sasha improvised, and the sisters took an active part in its creation.

One story, in particular, became their favorite. Rooted in Hans Anderson and similar folk tales, it told a tale of three young girls who went on an adventure with their friend, a dragon named Dr. Agon, to discover a cure and save their country from a mysterious illness.

The hour for that improvised tale was usually late, and the girls were dozing in minutes, but the next day, asked to continue the tale. If one fell asleep faster than the others, she demanded that Sasha repeat what she had missed the previous night. The other two sisters gladly recapped their interpretation of events, which took unexpected twists and turns in their imagination. That only made it more fun for everyone.

Years passed, and the girls grew older. Bedtime story-telling became a distant memory and the tales of Dr. Agon seemed long forgotten.

All until one night.

At a family dinner, the girls mentioned the name of Dr. Agon—a name unknown to anyone beyond them or Sasha, who was also quite surprised that the sisters still remembered those magical adventures.

Interrupting each other, the sisters eagerly explained what it was all about to the genuinely confused faces around the dining table. That’s when Vivian unexpectedly requested that Sasha write that story. And Sasha, thrilled by their enthusiasm, was foolish enough to agree.

The childish story would no longer work—that was obvious. Fortunately, Fedor came to the rescue.

Unfortunately, he brought his penchant for making everything epic, and the short, simple story evolved into a chain of endless adventures.

Dr Agon remained the title character and the three sisters combined into the lead hero, who we now know as Vimona.

Read, enjoy, and await more Adventures of Dr. Agon.
